Ahhh Puck. Something this way comes—the one guy shorter than you on the dance floor. But for three weeks in July at Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing at Damrosch Park, the world is an outdoor platform dance stage for all heights. Now that you’re finally out of the winter of discontent, (and proudly standing tall in your summer heels) grab the girls and put on your t-straps for swing bands on Tuesdays from the roaring 20s, red stilettos for salsa, samba and tango on Saturdays and those ouch-I-rolled my ankle platforms for funk and disco. Now in its 20th year, this party saves our city from another blackout by getting down outside in the uptown air, without wasting energy from air conditioning. To be—there really is no question.
