Parson’s (of Project Runway fame), 2nd Annual Midseason Preview took place this past Friday, December 13, 2007. The event showcased the crème de la crème of the school’s graduating class.
There was a clear trend throughout the room. Dresses. Dresses. Dresses. Mannequins and models were clad in floor-length-gowns and short-cocktail-dresses with ruffles, rich fabrics and as our ‘07 iPod’s sang, sexy backs.
Clear standouts: Student, Noelle Acosta, who is pictured in her own design at right, featured a darling knee-length strapless number with 14 different fabrics and a full wool bottom. When asked what she loved about fashion, she said, “I like to make clothes that make women feel special.” And student, Stefania Frangista, whose model, above left, wore a delectable number with rich gathers of sliver fabric and a hint of pink peeking out the top—appropriately titled, “whipped crème and strawberries.”
Class, from the students’ blatant lack of legwear, today’s lesson is—pants drool, dresses rule.
