Fifteen sexy celebrities in stunning red dresses strutted down the catwalk for The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection Fashion show, at New York’s Fashion Week. These ladies put the “star” back in “all-star,” showing audiences exactly it means to be a strong healthy woman.
The Red Dress Collection show is part of The Heart Truth campaign for women, which aims to raise awareness about heart disease.
Surprisingly, and under wraps, Laura Bush gave the opening speech, before the famous 15 walked down the catwalk in top designer red dresses. Names include: Heidi Klum (Project Runway), Allison Janney (Juno), Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty), Ashanti, Camryn Manheim (The Practice), Cheryl Hines (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Jenna Fischer (The Office), Joss Stone, Lisa Rinna (Dancing with the Stars), Liza Minnelli, Maria Menounos (Today Show), Mary Lynn Rajskub (24), Molly Sims (Las Vegas), Rita Moreno (West Side Story) and Sara Ramirez (Grey’s Anatomy).
Sexy Latinas were in full effect: Ana Ortiz in Badgley Mischka and an uber-sultry Sara Ramirez owned the runway in a gorgeous gown from Angel Sanchez. Multi-award winning actress Rita Moreno, who almost 50 years ago, portrayed Anita in the classic film West Side Story, danced to the song “America” from the same film.
To top it off legendary Liza Minelli, shut down the show after a surprising performance of the song “New York, New York.”
Red Dress Collection 2008 was a celebration of woman-hood, beauty and how amazing life can be when you have heart- healthy heart.
